5 Simple Ways to Improve your Morning Mindset Routine

Hello readers! Hope you are all safe and well! I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting our blog and becoming part of the Haus of Hustlers Community. A lot has happened in the world in the past year and I wanted to write about a little something that has helped me through the tough days!



Before last year, I had NEVER heard of mindset, not even the powers behind it. However, your mind is one of the strongest abilities we have as human beings and we need to look after it and nourish our daily thoughts. They have a major impact on our day to day activities-more than you realise!


First of all, what is mindset? Well when I first did research into it, I found a fabulous quote from the gracious Bob Proctor stating “When you really want something, and you couple that with an understanding of your nature, spiritual being and the law that governs you, you wil keep going. Nothing will stop you“. I felt this pretty much sums up how YOU have control of YOUR LIFE and YOUR MINDSET and without it, we wouldn’t be human! Also another quote to descrive mindset I found from Amit Ray in his book ’Mindfullness - Living in the Moment’ was that “Mindset is a flexible mirror, adjust it and you’ll see a better world“ and that’s what I’m hopefully going to help you with!

Here’s a thought - you hear your alarm go off and your automatic response is to snooze it and carry on dreaming of your dream life... THAT WAS ME! I used to snooze my alarms, sometimes not even set one! Although having enough sleep is important, getting into a routine of waking up whenever just doesn’t do me well for the day.

So, this blog post is for me to share with you 5 simple ways you can improve your mindset routine every morning so that you can reach those goals and have the best days ever!

1. Meditation

So this is a new method that I have only found recently! There is a whole controversy about how meditation is all about finding your soul with your legs crossed and surrounded by incense sticks...WRONG! You can listen to any motivational meditation you like and find a relaxing position which best fits YOU. I prefer to do a motivational speech in the morning and then before I go to sleep, listen to a night time soundtrack to help me fall asleep. There are many free apps you can download to use or even videos on Youtube!

2. Exercise

Now, I am not a marathon runner...however doing 15 mins of exercise every morning has helped to release the endorphins around my body and to elevate my mood! I am up at 5.30am every day and by having a healthy mind, I am able to resist the urge to have a power nap in the afternoon! Again, there are many free apps and videos on Youtube if you need guidance!

3. Work/Life=Balance

If you work, all you want to do when you get home is to CHILL OUT with some junk foot and binge watch Netflix. I get it, that used to be me. However, it is very important to maintain a work and life balance. We are HUMAN!! Our bodies NEED rest and enjoyment to feel fulfilled, even if it is just for a few hours a day. I have taken up cross stitching which is a lovely pass time to chill and focus my mind on something else other than work. On the other hand, you do need to have a focused mind ready for when it is time to work, YOU WORK YOUR BUTT OFF!

4. Mindset Journal

Mindset journals are YOUR BFF! I love my journal because all that is written in it is my goals, self love and motivation for me each day. You can buy pre made ones cheaply or you can just buy a normal notebook. I write down affirmations daily about my goals as if they are already happening; for example “I excel in everything I do“ because I believe it, and I do! I also note down elements of my life I am grateful for and some self love tips for myself. These remind me of my self worth and it brings me the confidence to excel in all my beliefs.

5. SMILE!!

It may seem a little weird, but smiling can really change the way you look at life. By smiling at yourself in the mirror, smiling at friends or family, or even at strangers as you walk around! It manifests a lot positive energy and as well as yourself, you could make someone else’s day too!
